No More + Paradox Sequenz + Aftershow
No More (Post-Punk-Electronica-Kraut-Glam)
No More has a varied past ranging from suggestions that they had fallen out of Lou Reed’s Berlin Album (NME 1982) to being played on Tatort. Their music has went through the processes of starting in the No-Wave to Dark/Gothic through EBM and landing on Electroclash then all the way back again. Best known for the hit “Suicide Commando”, which has been a blessing and a curse, but has kept the band in the almost mainstream for many years. It has been 5 years since they played Freiburg and its about time they came back again.
Paradox Sequenz (Münchner´Minimal)
Paradox Sequenz is the solo project from Sebastian W. He is returning to Slow Club after his visit last year with his other band Nacht Analyse. The description of the music is Münchner´Minimal, it’s heavily influenced by the synthesizer music of the early 80s with gesellschaftskritische lyrics.
Definitely Minimalwave.

Kids of Zoo born and raised in Melbourne’s bayside, spawned out of the ashes of rock & roll stalwarts. The Specimens on a strict diet of noisy angular demented lyrical punk that seems to draw comparisons from Hot Snakes to McLusky to a variety of other 90’s guitar driven oddities.
Once upon a time (like nearly 2 years ago) a publication named Maximum R&R Magazine USA described the bands debut LP as unsettling, disjointed & powerful. This praise gave the boys false sense of security they needed to get off of their arses and tour Europe, funnily enough the tour went really fucking well.
And so the show goes on. Live gigs are short, not through choice. Lyrics are often improvised and banter is kept to a minimum but their songs will melt your face off like that soldier dude at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark! And the new LP Welcome to Parrot Eyes is a powerhouse of living proof. Get on it..

JIMMY GLITSCHY (D) + THE COCONUTS (D) (Karussellbremserrock/Instrumental Surf/Punk)
Es gibt Tage da verliert man, es gibt Tage da gewinnen die Anderen und es gibt Tage an denen ist Jimmy Glitschy in der Stadt. Wer immer noch glaubt, dass im Stoner- oder Desert Rock Bereich zu guter Letzt nur kalter Kyu… äähh Kaffee serviert wird, hat sich mächtig getäuscht.
Jimmy und Konsorten schrecken nämlich nicht davor zurück, so mir nichts dir nichts bis auf Blut verfeindete Musik-Genres aus dem Hut zu zaubern. Da werden schon mal in guter alter Elextric Six Manier Fuzz- und Rotzrock Gitarren mit absoluten „no go“ Elementen wie Disco Beats vermengt. Klingt komisch, is aber so!
Getreu dem Motto von Oma Elfriede: „Drücken musses!“ geht’s dann forsch voran, ohne Rücksicht auf zerknitterte Hemdkragen. Naja, wir haben die Regeln nicht gemacht..!
The Coconuts aus Karlsruhe fröhnen dem instrumentalen Surfsound in all seinen Facetten. Vier Jungs, die bisher viel im Punk/Hardcore-Umfeld aktiv waren, beschreiten hier mal andere Wege – und sind dabei immer gut gekleidet. Und nicht vergessen: Surfen, surfen, jeden Tag nur surfen!!!

Die Coconuts sind vier Jungs, die seit Jahren in Karlsruher Punk- und Garagebands wie Royal Turds, Blitztrumpf und IHW aktiv waren und seit 2013 mit den Coconuts musikalisch neue Wege beschreiten. Freut Euch auf tanzbaren Surfsound mit Discokante, einen Hauch Exotik und schief sitzende Krawatten! Im Slow Club haben die Coconuts außerdem einen Überraschungsgast mit im Gepäck. Seit ihrem hervorragenden Auftritt im Oct 2013 haben wir versucht Singapore Sling wieder in den Slow Club zu kriegen – und es nun geschafft. Musikalische Referenzpunkte sind Bands wie The Cramps, Suicide, The Jesus And Mary Chain oder The Velvet Underground.
Massive Töne – Noise Einflüsse – dunkle Elemente. Zusammengehalten wird das Ganze von einem soliden Rock-Gerüst.

The Brainsucking Leeches – from a rotten cellar bar on planet Pluto… By accident they’d listen to popular music from planet Earth – and because of ugly distortions, mess-ups and general transmission failures they got it … hu … special. They decided to morph into human shape (well … nearly …) and to visit planet Earth – to extinguish all earthlings by fake Americana and mutant songwriting from outer space!

TheCore singt: Z ‚iggy Poppig – schillernd – fern und selbst – ein Freiburger Chor, sunnig mit whiskey an jeder Bar – Jetzt.
Das Freiburger Trio „LE BOX“ bestehend aus den Musikerinnen „Sabine-Akkordeon/Hansi-Schlagzeug/Jürgen-Gitarre“,öffnen ihre gut gefüllte Musik-Box. Sie spielen eine bunte, tanzbare, akustische, elektrische und trashige Mischung aus Klezmer,Polka, Tango, Chanson, Filmmusik, in der auch mal ein Hauch Melancholie wehen darf, sich kleine Improvisationen entfalten und andere Überraschungen zu hören sind. „LE BOX“ wird das Publikum mit schönen schrägen Tönen unterhalten und in ihren Bann ziehen.

Club-Soli-Party | Popsociety
Freitag der 13. – das Beste was man da machen kann ist tanzen. Aber es geht noch besser: Tanzen für den Club der Herzen! Denn die Popsociety gibt einen ersten Vorgeschmack auf die neue Party-Reihe im Slow Club. Jawoll, ihr lest richtig, ab sofort könnt ihr einmal im Monat feiern und tanzen zugunsten eures Lieblingsclub. Wir werden euch nicht nur wunderbare DJs präsentieren … aber, mehr wird jetzt noch nicht verraten, ha. Also wir freuen uns auf euch und die Popsociety zum fulminanten Auftakt.
